South West Boise real estate lies in one of the more sparsely populated areas of Boise. First developed between the 1960's and 1980's, South West Boise homes for sale consisted of farms, pastureland, and many properties with acre-sized lots. In the 1980's, regulations were passed to prevent ‘urban sprawl’, and keep the area more rural.
More recently, however, those regulations have been lifted and many new neighborhoods have been developed, allowing for more South West Boise real estate offerings. Many of these newer neighborhoods offer high-end finishes such has hardwood, granite, tile, etc. The homes for sale in these neighborhoods have a lot to offer with community amenities such as; parks, swimming pools, and clubhouses.
Residents who own South West Boise real estate enjoy more home affordability and are within a few minutes' drive to Interstate 84, shopping, the airport, parks, the Aquarium, theaters, restaurants, etc. In addition, the cultural centers, fine dining, international restaurants, museums, Farmers’ Market, sports arenas, and much more can be enjoyed in downtown Boise with just about a 15-20 +/- minute car ride away.
